It occurred to me tonight whilst I was thinking about the various elements I need to continue beta testing for a virtual holiday party I am hosting at work on Monday. Between the Second Life bar video on YouTube, online games, the anticipated 40+ person chat session and pushing out a URL of an online Picasa album to everyone in real time, it struck me. I need music. What party has ever been had, albeit an online one, without some decent tunage?
The online bar and digital bartender may not pan out as well as I'd originally anticipated, so I at least need to make the conference bridge that supplies the party music to my peers across the country something they'd like to dance in their seat to. I'm so deeply fixated on Kanye West right now I'm going blind in one eye. From Love Lockdown to Flashing Lights to Stronger to whatever. I'm in love all over again. But this doesn't solve my problem. Could Kanye span between the vast age groups that differentiate me from my peers? It's nearly 1:30 am and my answer at present is yes.
Wish me luck. Outside of WOW, this is my first virtual party. Gaaa, I sincerely hope it doesn't suck.
