Because work seems to suck more and more lately, I find myself longing for a drink at the end of the day to help make it all go away. Typically just one, mind you... but on Fridays I have a new fabulous tradition - The Friday Five.
Here's how it works:
1. Work hard all day
2. Go home or to a bar
3. Arrange five shots in a line
4. Raise your shotglass
5. Announce a great reason for getting through the week. (It's okay if you start out small with something like, "Hey! I successfully converted oxygen to carbon dioxide every single day!"
6. Repeat 5 times.
So far, my moods seem lighter, I regain my sense of humor (even if it's only temporarily) and realize that I am sooooo much more than my work. Cheers!
P.S. Might not be a good idea to do the Friday five everyday, or before work. That would make you a bleepin' alcoholic and then you'd have to spend even MORE time in lame meetings.
