The Pinterest Punch

Him: So, what's the whole deal about Pinterest? People are talking about it, what's it used for?

Me: Well, it's a great new platform to visually share ideas, interests and inspiration on the web. You can tag anything by "pinning it" so you can come back to it later or share it with other people.

Him: Oh. Ok. So like a bookmark?

Me: Hmmm. Well, yeah, sort of. But everyone else can see all of your cool pins... and they can "like" them or pin them also. And it integrates with Facebook and Instagram.

Him: So they can bookmark your bookmarks too? Or you can post each other's bookmarks on Facebook?

Me: Yes! But it sounds useless when you say it like that. Pins are much prettier than bookmarks. It's so visually stimluating! And there's no limit to what you can pin. I can pin all my fave tech articles or widgets.
Him: Yeah, I have bookmarks for all of those things.

Note: I may not be able to convince anyone else about a digital inspiration board, but I so love Pinterest. I wish I had more time to pin around, in fact, I'm going there now.
